Air Education and Training Command officials recently announced the 2008 weather award winners. Of the eight categories, the 325th Operations Support Squadron walked away with two of them:

Weather Non-commissioned Officer of the year
Staff Sgt. Cortny A. Hughes, 325th OSS Weather Flight

Outstanding weather organization
325th OSS Weather Flight

"The team here had a tremendous year," said Lt. Col. Steven Burgh, 325th OSS commander. "Our deployed troops provided weather support to the Joint Team in Iraq and Afghanistan, playing a key role in the success of missions in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Likewise, those back home continued to provide Team Tyndall with world-class weather support."

Winners will compete in the Air Force level of competition.
