Antonio Bazemore's buzzer-beating base line jumper helped the Tyndall Tigers men's varsity basketball team beat the first-place Keesler Air Force Base Dragons 87-85 Saturday.

Keesler, led by their All- Armed Forces guard Dan Nwaelele, jumped out to an early double-digit lead. Nwaelele's 21 first-half points gave Keesler the lead at half.

Tyndall, behind their forward Marqus Armour, was able to build their own double-digit lead. The Dragons fired back and were able to even the score at 85-85 with nine seconds left in the game. Tyndall controlled the ball and would have the last shot before time expired. Moving the ball down the court, Bazemore was able to get free along the base line and shot the game winning shot as the buzzer went off.

The Tigers moved to the middle of the pack in the Southeastern Military Athletic Conference with the win. Their new record is 5-5.

Armour led the Tigers in scoring with 26 points, followed by Rasheem Ramsey's 19 and Bazemore's 15. Ramsey also added six assists, while Bazemore, Armour and Greg Brown all tied for rebounding with 10. Nwaelele led Keesler in scoring with a game-high 35 points.

Tyndall will play the Hurlburt Field Commandos 1 p.m. Saturday at Hurlburt Field. The Tigers will host their final-home game this season against the Eglin Air Force Base Eagles at 2 and 4 p.m. Feb. 7.
