The Tyndall Tigers men's varsity basketball team improved their record to 2-0 after defeating the visiting Hurlburt Field Commandos, 100-88, Saturday.

A balance scoring threat, led by Marqus Armour, and an aggressive defense gave Tyndall a 43-35 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Commandos were able to fight back, when they cut the lead to one point with a little more than 16 minutes left in the game. After a timeout, the Tigers regrouped and went on their own run, to close out the game by a score of 100-88.

Armour led the Tigers in scoring with a game-high of 28 points, followed by Rasheem Ramsey's, Dan Cooper's and Marcelle Mosley's 12 points. Cooper led in assists with six, while Armour led in rebounding with 10. Willie Lee led Hurlburt in scoring with 23 points.

With the win, the Tiger's improved their regular season conference winning streak to 13 games and their home game winning streak to nine games.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers next game is against the Eglin Air Force Base Eagles Saturday. The women's team plays at 1 p.m. and men's at 3 p.m.
