NSPS: END OF RATING CYCLE Published Oct. 6, 2008 By Staff Sgt. Vesta M. Anderson 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE, Fla. -- Employee and supervisors prepare annual self- and rater-assessments to highlight the most significant achievements of this performance year as Tyndall Air Force Base's second National Security Personnel System performance cycle comes to a close. According to the Civilian Personnel Office, employee self-assessments must be completed and entered into the Performance Appraisal Application Version 2 tool by Oct. 10, and rater assessments must be submitted by Oct. 27. New performance plans for next year must be established and approved in the PAA Version 3 by Oct. 31. "Although employee self-assessments are optional, employees are highly encouraged to illustrate their significant mission accomplishments so that their performance records are well represented at the official pay pool deliberations in November 2008," said Ms. Melanie McGuire, 325th Mission Support Squadron Civilian Personnel officer. One of the critical items reviewed by the pay pool panel is ensuring those accomplishments are directly tied to the employee's job objectives.
