Power outage scheduled Aug 16

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- In order to allow conversion of the overhead electrical power coming from the sub-station to the new underground electrical power system, electrical lines feeding military family housing and hospital areas are scheduled for a power outage beginning 11:59 p.m. Aug. 16 and ending 5 a.m., Aug. 17.

Areas effected by the power outage will include all base housing, Beacon Beach marina, golf course, housing shoppette, youth center, education center and the medical clinic.

As a precautionary measure, please turn off all unnecessary electrical applicances, computers, lighting, etc. in your house and miniminze opening refrigerators and freezers during this time period.
