Services to renovate Pizza Pub Published July 26, 2007 By Airman 1st Class Anthony J. Hyatt 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Pizza Pub, located in the Community Activities Center here, is scheduled to close Aug. 11 for renovations. This project will last approximately three weeks and the Pizza Pub plans to re-open on Sept. 4. "The Pizza Pub will undergo a complete renovation," said Sylvia Bowles, 325th Services Squadron Tyndall's Officers' Club manager. "We will be adding additional seating, a full bar, new equipment and just a new over all new look." Programs that currently take place at the Pizza Pub, such as Block Party and Texas Hold'em will be conducted in The Zone at the Enlisted Club during the construction period. Block Party, also known as "karaoke night" to some, offers tunes to sing karaoke to and 25-cent wings. Also, Family Nights will be offered in Classics Lounge. All activities will resume at their normal day, time and location after the renovation is complete. "Members can look forward to additional new programming at the Pizza Pub when it re-opens in September," said Mrs. Bowles. During the week, the Pizza Pub has its very own daily lunch specials including a pizza buffet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tuesday's lunch special is a taco buffet and Thursdays is a pasta buffet. The question then arises, "Where will I go for lunch?" For those looking for a place to eat, The Oasis Snack Bar, the Bowling Center Snack Bar, the Officer's Club All Ranks Buffet, The Golf Course Snack Bar and the Marina Club Snack Bar will be available during the construction period. "Services is working hard to make things better for the Tyndall community," said Mrs. Bowles.
