Volunteers hosted a donation drive to supply Tyndall with holiday cookies to boost morale during the holiday season.

Spouses from both the Officer Spouses Club and the Enlisted Spouses Club came together to bake, collect, and deliver cookies for Tyndall Airmen.

The Cookie Caper was held at the Tyndall Thrift Shop and took donations in the form of sweet treats from everyone on base.  First sergeants, spouses, and other volunteers dedicated their time to bag and organize the cookies for distribution.

The cookies were then placed into decorative holiday bags that were made by students from Tyndall elementary.

"Everyone from the base really come together to help with the Cookie Caper," said Amanda France, honorary president of the Officer Spouses Club.  "We did this because we wanted the Airmen to feel good during the holiday season.  Many of them don't get to go home since they are serving our country and fulfilling their duty.  We've received letters from mothers in the past, thanking us for helping their sons and daughters."

After the donations were all received and bagged, they were hung from the doors of every Airman living in the dorms.

"There are about 450 Airmen in the dorms and we were able to give every one of them a set of cookies," France said.  "We were able to accomplish this by the participation from all the squadrons and tenant units on base.  They really showed they cared for Tyndall and its Airmen."
