Moving on up Published Oct. 21, 2015 By Senior Airman Solomon Cook 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Airmen residing in building 1046 are being moved to other dorms starting in October because of improvements slated to begin at the end of this year. "Dorm residents are moving because building 1046 is scheduled for an infrastructure upgrade," said Master Sgt. Calvin Charles, 325th Civil Engineer Squadron dorm superintendent. "Some of the upgrades will include a fire suppression system and new electrical wiring. The work is scheduled to begin after the holidays but can start sooner." Dorm residents are being moved primarily to building 1149 or the four doors known to Airmen as "the Quads," Charles added. Airmen will need to follow instructions provided by dorm management, pack their belongings and have their room ready for inspection. "The process is fairly simple," Charles said. "The residents have to come to the office to get a room swap form. Once they get the form filled, we then issue them their room key and schedule a room inspection." All Airmen, unless told otherwise, need to be out of the building by November 30, Charles added. For further information, call dorm management at (850) 283-3112/3228.
