Mark your calendar, Tyndall Air Force Base will host the Gulf Coast Salute 2015 Air Show and Open House, April 11 and 12.

This year's event will be highlighted by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds who, since their creation in 1953, have ignited passion in Americans through their grace and jaw-dropping aerial maneuvers, exhibiting the skill and capability of the world's most advanced and respected air, space and cyberspace force.

Joining the Air Force's premiere aerial demonstration team for the two-day event will be the U.S. Army Golden Knights, as well as numerous other ground displays and aerial attractions. There will be plenty of food, games and attractions to make this year's airshow the best ever.

Major Gregory Preisser, 2015 Gulf Coast Salute Chairman, said he promises a fantastic show for all who attend. "I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to the 2015 Gulf Coast Salute.  This year's show promises to be a diverse show which should fascinate spectators of all ages.  We are looking forward to opening the gates at Tyndall and showing off our mission and our team."

Admission and parking for the show will be free and security will be emphasized: no coolers (unless needed for medical reasons), pets, weapons, knives, glass bottles or containers will be allowed.

More information, to include an official airshow website, will be disseminated as it becomes available.
