Cookie Caper needs your help Published Oct. 31, 2014 By Airman 1st Class Sergio A. Gamboa 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The annual operation Cookie Caper event is slated for Dec. 8 and the Tyndall Officer and Enlisted Spouses Clubs need your help to meet a target goal of 500 dozen cookies. "This is a wonderful time to help make an Airmen's holidays a little bit better," said Amanda France, wife of Col. Derek C. France, 325th Fighter Wing commander. "Many of our younger Airmen may be unable to go home during the holiday season, so this is our opportunity to bring a little bit of joy into their lives by providing a bag of home-made cookies. "Five hundred dozen seems to be a big number, but hopefully with the help of the local and base community we will reach our goal," she added. Anybody can help by donating cookies for the event. Volunteers will be available to collect donations in front of the base commissary from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Dec. 8 and will deliver the bags starting later the same day. If donating, please make sure cookies are nut and peanut butter free. For information on how to donate or volunteer, e-mail tyndallcookiecaper@yahoo.com.
