In honor of the Air Force's upcoming birthday Tyndall is planning a bash to remember.

The annual Air Force Ball will occur 6 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the Horizons Community Center. This year's theme is "Honoring the Past to Build the Future."

Similar to last year, the ball will have three rooms each with a different theme: The Main Ballroom will be the top 40 and dance floor room, the Classic's Lounge will be the piano and outdoor cigar bar and the Oasis Sports Lounge will be similar to a karaoke lounge.

Each room will feature food that fits the theme and atmosphere of the space including a carving station with prime rib and spiral glazed honey ham, spinach and artichoke ravioli in Alfredo sauce, imported and domestic cheese and much more.

The Tyndall Active Airmen Association will provide free childcare for ages 2 and up that includes a free dinner. Also, the Tyndall Youth Center will host a "Kid's Night Out" for ages 5 to 12 that includes pizza and snacks for $14 a child.

Airmen Against Drunk Driving will be on hand to ensure those in need will have a safe ride home.
