Det. 1, 16th EWS assumption of command

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --  Lieutenant Col. Matthew T. Genelin assumed command of Detachment 1, 16th Electronic Warfare Squadron during a ceremony Aug. 5. Genelin previously served as B-1B Lancer instructor weapons system officer and director of operations, 7th Operations Support Squadron, Dyess AFB, Texas. Maj. Warren Withrow, who occupied the role of commander prior to Genelin's arrival, will return as Det.1, 16th EWS director of operations. The detachment provides maintenance support and electronic warfare expertise for adversary electronic attack training pods.
