TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --
A 325th Logistics Readiness Squadron Airman was recently awarded an Air Force level award.
Senior Master Sgt. Frank Graziano, 325th LRS deployment and distribution superintendent, was named the 2013 Air Force Outstanding Logistics Readiness Senior NCO of the year.
The award recognizes the top senior NCO within the logistics community for outstanding contributions to the success of the Air Force and Defense Department.
"I was not expecting to win," the Fowler, Ohio native said. "It was humbling because I know the caliber of SNCOs in the logistics career fields. They are top-notch superstars and I am very proud to represent all of them because the award signifies all our accomplishments not just one person."
According to his award submission package, Graziano restructured the hazard communication safety programs and was noted "best program seen" by wing safety inspector and has saved the DOD more than $11.4 million.
"I live by four words when it comes to the way I do work: Faith, love, trust and dedication," Graziano said. "You have to stay true to your faith; you need to love life, people, your job and mission; trust in your team and trust in yourself and know that dedication is the cornerstone for all successful Airmen."
Master Sgt. Wayne Risinger, 325th LRS vehicle operations superintendent shares his sentiment.
"I haven't worked for a SNCO that is more deserving than he is," he said "He undoubtedly earned it. I haven't seen anyone dedicated more to their Airmen than he is. He is very good at what he does."
Graziano shows his passion for his job and unit.
"We are 'Logistics Warriors' and we are ready to demonstrate our faith, love, trust and dedication to the 325th Fighter Wing," Graziano said.
