Team Tyndall is scheduled to host a Sexual Assault Prevention Response Stand Down Day June 9 as part of the base's quarterly Comprehensive Airmen Fitness Day.

The event will feature a squadron commander's call, facilitator-led small group discussion, a burger burn at Heritage Park and squadron chosen activities.

"Commanders will set the tone and focus for the 2014 Spring SAPR Stand Down Day," said Phyl Dudzinski, 325th Fighter Wing sexual assault response coordinator. "The focus will be on offender dynamics and grooming."

The commander's call topics will include facts about offenders, the crippling effects that they cause and the three objectives of the Air Force's SAPR strategy - deter and eliminate predators, enable victims to come forward, and build and reinforce the Air Force climate, she added.

The overall goals of the sessions are to:

a. Recognize the crippling impact of sexual assault and gaining commitment to action.
b. Identify grooming behaviors of offenders and how they operate.
c. Distinguish offenders' behaviors in order to act to prevent sexual assault.
d. Address the role that all Airmen have in sexual assault prevention and apply these to daily lives.
e. Interrupting the continuum of subtle behaviors and events that may lead to an environment that erodes Air Force core values and a culture of dignity and respect.

The Air Force has a zero tolerance policy for sexual assault and is dedicated to ensuring Airmen are educated and aware of its presence and how to eliminate it.
