Heritage transfers services to Horizons Published May 5, 2014 By Senior Airman Christopher Reel 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Heritage began consolidating its services May 5 to the Horizons and will complete the transfer of services May 28. Lunch at the Heritage will continue Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May 5 to 16. However, during this time, the lunch menu will be modified from the full lunch buffet to a deli sandwich, soup, salad and dessert bar with a beverage station. Rates during this period will be $5.95 for members and $6.95 for non-members. "The staff will clean and transition to Horizons' new kitchen from May 19 to 27," explained Jerry LaFrance, 325th Force Support Squadron Community Services Flight chief. Services will begin May 28 at Horizons' new kitchen. "Even though we are moving our kitchen operations to the Horizons, the Heritage is still open," said Kathleen Turmelle, 325th FSS Heritage manager. "We will still do events and meetings at the Heritage and cater the food from Horizons." Horizons will offer lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays in the Classics Lounge, which is located to the left upon when walking through the main doors in the Horizons' lobby. The revised menu is as follows: Wednesdays- Carving Stations Thursdays- Fried Chicken Fridays- Seafood buffet Horizons' Oasis Sports Lounge will continue to run with current operations and is unaffected by this transition. Additionally, the administrative office and services will be moving to Horizons by May 28 and will be located in the office in Horizon's main lobby.
