Team Tyndall recently received two 2013 Air Combat Command Munitions Awards.

Staff Sgt. Michelle K. Greene, 325th Maintenance Weapons Squadron F-22 Raptor load standardization crew member, received the 2013 Outstanding Armament Systems Supervisor of the Year award.

"I was very thrilled; it is an Honor to be put up for an award of this magnitude," Greene said. "I really have to give thanks to my supervision on this one. Not only do they put me up for the award, but they set the standard of what it is to be a great supervisor. Without their proper guidance in my career, I would not be nearly who I am today."

The Frewsburg, N.Y., native looks forward to the day that one of her troops can win the same level award.

The 43rd Aircraft Munitions Unit was also awarded the 2013 Weapons Load Crew of the Year award. Staff Sgt. Stephen R. Watson, 43rd AMU F-22 Raptor weapons load crew chief, Senior Airman Ryan C. Barker, 43rd AMU F-22 weapons load crew member, and Senior Airman Mario N. Hernandez III, 43rd AMU F-22 weapons load crew member, make up the crew that received the award.

"I was very excited," said Watson, a Moody, Ala., native. "Throughout my years at Tyndall, I have never heard of anyone winning this award. It feels good to be the first, and I hope to defend my title in 2014."

The load crew won the award here in January before competing at the ACC level.

"I had a feeling of accomplishment due to the exceptional performance of our crew," said Barker, a Warner Robins, Ga., native.
