Tyndall Base Exchange begins roof repairs Published Jan. 21, 2014 By Staff Sgt. Rachelle Elsea 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Tyndall Base Exchange began repairs on the building's roof Jan. 17. The repairs will take approximately three months to complete, making the completion date scheduled for the end of March, early April. The changes to the everyday shopper will be minimal. "The only difference will be the front entrance to the food court will be closed," said Phil Capshaw, Base Exchange general manager. "The Happy Cup will remain open, but shoppers will have to use the side entrance located by the pharmacy." Capshaw said this is just the final piece to the image remodeling done last year. "We did the renovations last year on the inside and now the base is taking care of the repairs to the outside," he said. "The roof has several leaks when it rains. This is a quality of life improvement."
