TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The self-service gas pumps at the new Express opened Jan. 3 offering more dispensers for customers.

The station, located just inside the Illinois Gate near the Commissary, will be completed by the end of the month, officials said.

"In February [2013], we started construction, but you could still use the pump gas," said Mickey Park, store manager.

Not only does the new station offer six gas dispensers, but the completed Express Shoppette will house a larger Class Six store, and a Snack Avenue for items such as hotdogs, sandwiches and coffees, Park said.

"It will be a lot more space for more products," Park said.

In addition, propane tanks will be sold at the store and customers can get their taxes completed by H&R Block, which also will have a spot in the new store.
