Tyndall excels at LCAP Published Nov. 19, 2013 By 1st Lt Andrea Valencia 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Tyndall Airmen were evaluated by Air Combat Command's Logistics Compliance Assessment Program team Nov. 4 - 8 to assess logistics processes and regulatory compliance while Airmen carry out their day-to-day missions. "The LCAP is done every 18 to 24 months and it standardizes maintenance and logistic process across the Combat Air Forces," said Lt. Col. Brian Sitler, ACC LCAP team chief. "Maintenance quality assurance and logistic processes are evaluated against a common Air Force standard. The assessment holds a mirror up to the units and lets them see how good they look." The 24-person LCAP team conducted more than 1,000 inspections in less than four days. The 325th Fighter Wing received an overall rating of satisfactory with the 325th Maintenance Group and the 325th Logistic Readiness Division earning a score of satisfactory. "We were very pleased that our logistic processes were found sound by higher headquarters during the inspection," said Col. Christopher Holmes, 325th Mission Support Group commander. The 325th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and the 325th Maintenance Squadron each achieved an excellent on their portion of the LCAP. "I am proud of their achievement, it was well deserved," said Col. Curtis Hafer, 325th MXG commander. "It raised the bar on excellence and set the tone for the way ahead. As we bring in the combat coded Raptor unit this is the standard of excellence to strive for every day." There were 11 outstanding performers in the maintenance group. "Less than one percent of the personnel are recognized as outstanding performers during the inspection. While being evaluated they presented a professional image and demonstrated extreme proficiency in their maintenance skills," Hafer said.
