F-22 Raptor B-Course graduates Published Sept. 19, 2013 By 2nd Lt. Andrea Valencia 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The 43rd Fighter Squadron graduated six F-22 Raptor B-course students in a ceremony Sept. 13. The students completed an eight -month course of instruction, including 400 academic hours, 205 academics events, 27 examinations, 50 sorties and 55 simulator missions. The B-course entails transition and emergency procedures, instrument tasks, and day and night air-to-air refueling. The students are also educated on air-to-air employment, air-to-ground employment, basic low altitude employment, and night and night vision goggle employment. At course completion, students have flown approximately 55 hours and are prepared to begin mission qualification training (MQT) in their combat unit.
