Representatives from the 9th Air Force logistics community completed a Logistics Readiness Assistance Visit here with the goal of assessing readiness and learning best practices for Air Combat Command's evaluation.

"The LRAV is helping our wing ensure compliance with applicable maintenance and logistics Air Force Instructions, technical orders and standards," said Col. Curtis Hafer, 325th Maintenance Group commander. "The team identified areas for improvement and looked for best practices to share with other units."

The 24-member team conducted their visit Sept. 9 to 12 and presented their findings on Sept. 13.

"We provide a picture without a grade," said Maj. Brian Crum, 9th Air Force Logistics deputy director.

Even without a pass or fail rating, the feedback provided is priceless to Team Tyndall.

"I was very interested in the honest feedback," said Col. Chris Holmes, 325th Mission Support Group commander. "We have a few things to tidy up, but that is value of this evaluation."

The next step for Team Tyndall will be Air Combat Command Logistics Compliance Assessment Program in October. The LCAP provides leadership with an evaluation of a unit's ability to perform logistics processes in a safe, standardized, repeatable and technically compliant manner.
