People can drop off nonperishable food donations at the commissary Aug. 19 to 28. The event is part of the Feds Feed Families campaign.

The food drive is an annual event, which federal employees around the country collect food for distribution by food banks and shelters. In the past four years, federal government employees around the country have donated more than 15 million pounds of food through the Feds Feed Families campaign.

"The food donated will be going to the Bay Area Food Bank," said 2nd Lt. Edgar Balagtas, 325th Maintenance Squadron munitions assistant flight commander and event point of contact.
