Reveille sounds off and it is time to rise and shine. Hopefully, the day begins with breakfast, the most important meal of the day, and the most difficult choice of the day: bacon and eggs, grits or cereal.

Every day the Berg-Liles Dining Facility prepares three square meals with healthy choices for Airmen that are stationed here. The dining facility orders $3,000 to $6,000 worth of food, serving approximately 1,000 Airmen weekly.

"There is a program for eating healthy called 'Go for green'," said Airman 1st Class Meagan Kenney, 325th Force Support Squadron storeroom clerk. "The end of the day shift likes to make a sample plate of the healthy items. This gives the Airmen a chance to see the more nutritional food on display."

Those working at the dining facility have customer service at the forefront of their mission. Airmen from 325th FSS at the dining facility listen closely to the experience of those who are their guests.

"We want to improve our service; this is why we have the comment box," said Senior Airman Joshua Burson, 325th FSS storeroom personnel. "The dining facility cares about everyone who comes in, but we pay close attention to the comments we receive."

At the dining facility, there are customer comment boxes where Airmen can place their feedback of the service as well as the selection of food.

"If we get enough comments saying Airmen are tired of a certain meal we can submit the feedback and changes can be made," Burson said.

With the comments of the Airmen guiding the way and the FSS focus on customer service, the dining facility will continue to be a place for three square meals a day to keep Airmen fueled to support the Tyndall mission of training and projecting unrivaled combat power.

"I love my job, and I know the dining facility is important to a lot of people," Burson said. "Airmen wake up in the morning and they are hungry, and it is our job to feed them."
