Women's Armed Forces Basketball Championship Final

Specialist Ashley Bowman, Fort Meade, Md., charges past Ensign Angela Myers from the USS Shiloh, Yokosuka, Japan, in the final game of the Women’s Armed Forces Basketball Championship. The Navy won the game, edging by the Army with a final score of 73-71. The overall winner of the tournament was the Navy, with a record of 5-2. The Army followed in second place with a record of 5-2, although they lost the final game. The Air Force finished third overall, with a record of 4-3, and the Marines fell short throughout the entire tournament, with a record of 0-7.
