Old fitness center demolition

Tyndall's old fitness center is scheduled to undergo a five-week demolition process after serving the base for 35 years. It is 23,175 square feet and has been replaced by Tyndall's new, state-of-the-art, energy efficient, 75,000 square foot fitness facility. "This gym has served its purpose," said Mr. Lou South, 325th Force Support Squadron fitness center director. "It's taken care of our troops over the years. Now we've moved on to a new era and the new gym serves to meet more of the troops' needs by offering more programs and equipment." (U.S. Air Force photo by Jonathan Gibson)
