F-15 gets nose job

The only F-15 Eagle in the U.S. Air Force approved to have nose art, this 1984 jet from the 19th Fighter Squadron, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, visited Tyndall last week as part of a tour of several bases to include Langley Air Force Base, Va., and Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. The art was designed by a local Alaskan artist and applied by the jet's maintenance Airmen. It represents the 19th FS "Alaskan Eagles". The jet also has a confirmed MiG 29 kill achieved during Operation DESERT STORM. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Rachelle Elsea)
