Stimulus Package
The two upgrade phases necessary to create proper area lighting to the aircraft parking aprons and surrounding area, for nighttime operations, maintenance and security will cost approximately $6 million. The project is scheduled to be completed in mid-2010. The money is part of the $23.3 million Tyndall received in 2009 as part of the Recovery and Reinvestment Act, a stimulus package signed by President Barack Obama on Feb 17 to jumpstart the American economy.
