Stimulus Package

BEFORE:The asphalt slurry seal on the inside of the runway, shown here, along with the rubber removal from both touchdown zones, cost $291,500 and was completed May 31. The money was part of the $23.3 million Tyndall received in April as part of the Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The act was part of the stimulus package signed by President Barack Obama on Feb. 17 to jumpstart the American economy. (U.S. Air Force courtesy photo)
