The members of Team Tyndall would like to wish farewell to Chief Master Sergeant Christopher Lantagne, outgoing 325th Fighter Wing command chief master sergeant. In this capacity he advised the commander on training, readiness, effective utilization and progression of all Airmen. He ensured the wing commander's policies are understood and executed in addition to maintaining liaison with civilian community leaders. He also provided recommendations to the wing's group and squadron commanders, joint service commanders, key staff members, and senior enlisted on behalf of Tyndall's enlisted force. The incoming command chief will be Chief Master Sergeant Craig V. Williams, the former 4th Mission Support Group, superintendent, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina.The position of command chief master sergeant was renamed in November 1998. Formerly titled senior enlisted advisor, command chief master sergeants serve as senior advisors to commanders at key levels of command; these include Wings, Numbered Air Forces, Field Operating Agencies, and Major Commands.
