Checkered Flag 2015
An Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., F-35 Lightning II sits on the Tyndall AFB, Fla., flightline Dec. 15 during the Checkered Flag 16-1 exercise. The F-35 is the U.S. Air Force’s latest fifth-generation fighter brings an enhanced capability to survive in the advanced threat environment. With its aerodynamic performance and advanced integrated avionics, the F-35 will provide next-generation stealth, enhanced situational awareness and reduced vulnerability for the United States and allied nations.
