A series of BQM-164 unmanned drones are stored in a bunker prior to launch in support of exercise Checkered Flag 20-1 at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, Nov. 13, 2019. Checkered Flag is a large-scale exercise involving multiple military partners and installations, designed to focus on training and evaluating fourth and fifth-generation fighter aircraft, pilots and maintainers. In conduction with the exercise, air-to-air and air-to-ground combat operations are tested and recorded to provide data on best practices and ensuring future mission successes.
