82nd ATRS rescues aerial targets
A U.S. Air Force Missile Retriever assigned to the 82nd Aerial Target Squadron hoists a BQM-167A subscale aerial target out of the Gulf of Mexico, Aug 4, 2023. The drone is equipped with a transponder, allowing the watercraft crew to locate, recover and return the target back to Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, where it is repaired for future missions.
