Installation-wide HUREX prepares Tyndall AFB ahead of peak hurricane season
Maurice Spikes Jr., 325th Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management flight chief and emergency operations center manager, coordinates response efforts during a hurricane readiness exercise, or HUREX, at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, Aug. 11, 2025. A HUREX is a full-spectrum readiness exercise that tests how a base prepares for, responds to and recovers from a hurricane.
