    Three Airmen assigned to Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, were the first to notice and respond to a house fire in Panama City, Florida, Aug. 11.

    Tyndall Air Force Base will host a Fire Prevention Week (FPW) event for base personnel and their families Oct. 8-11. FPW is a national observance which works to raise public awareness of fire and home safety.

Prescribed burns, also called controlled burns, are essential for maintaining the ecological balance of the woodland encompassing the base.
