Military Equal Opportunity/ Equal Employment Opportunity

Everyone must be able to work in an environment free of discrimination and harassment. It is the policy of the Government of the United States, the Department of Air Force and Tyndall Air Force Base to provide equal opportunity for all persons by prohibiting discrimination in employment because of age (40 and above), color, disability (mental or physical), national origin, race, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, sexual harassment) and to promote the full realization of equal employment through a continuing affirmative program in each agency.

Tyndall's leadership continues to ensure that no person shall be subject to retaliation for opposing any practice made unlawful by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, Equal Pay Act or the Rehabilitation Act.

The 325th Fighter Wing Equal Opportunity Office is strongly committed to supporting the Department of Defense and Department of the Air Force policy on harassment (including bullying and hazing) and discrimination at Tyndall AFB.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Office facilitates the federal complaint process and provides alternative dispute resolution as a means of resolving complaints. Tyndall provides EEO for all covered civilians, and prohibits unlawful discrimination as described under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and as amended.

The Military Equal Opportunity Office clarifies complaints for active-duty military members, including Air Reserve and National Guard members under Title 10 status. In addition, they provide facilitation services and offer a variety of classes in human relations education. The EO office conducts outreach, focus groups, and assessments within each organization and assist commanders with their human relations climate.

Everyone must be proactive in preventing discrimination and harassment. You don't have to be the focus of harassment or discrimination to speak out against it. Take the lead in ensuring equal treatment for all. For more information, contact the EO office at (850) 283-4130 or (850) 890-6177.
