Air Education and Training Command recently recognized the 325th Maintenance Squadron with the 2012 Aircraft Maintenance Effectiveness Awards in the missile and munitions maintenance categroy.

The Maintenance Effectiveness Awards are presented annually to recognize the most outstanding maintenance units based on unit mission accomplishments, effective use of maintenance resources, innovative management accomplishments and quality of life programs during the past fiscal year.

"I am very proud of the professional work ethic the 325th MXS 'Jake Warriors' displayed during fiscal year 2012," said Maj. Shawnn Martin, 325th MXS commander. "Each Airman was instrumental in our squadron earning this prestigious award. We look forward to competing amongst the MAJCOMs for an Air Force win."

The squadron will go on to compete at the Air Force level. Next year, it is eligible to compete within Air Combat Command.

Note: At the time of the awards, the squadron was comprised of two primary flights with a population of roughly 280. Since the conversion to ACC in October 2012,  the squadron has added five additional flights and over 135 newly-assigned Airmen. Additionally, once the move from Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. takes place, the 325th MXS will have over 600 personnel assigned.
