  • Stealth Guardian: Forward Arming and Refueling Point increases Air Force capabilities

    Airmen from the 325th Fighter Wing and the 23rd Wing were put to the test in a simulated deployed environment at Moody Air Force Base, Ga., as part of exercise Stealth Guardian, Aug. 10, 2017. During this segment of the exercise, two F-22 Raptors from Tyndall’s 95th Fighter Squadron were rearmed and refueled by way of a forward arming and refueling point from an HC-130J Combat King II.

Dale Cooke, a former U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron Thunderbirds pilot from 1979 to 1982, walked into the 2nd Fighter Training Squadron to prepare for something that would go down in the history books.

    Newly commissioned officers graduate from the 337th Air Control Squadron Air Battle Manager training program at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., April 19, 2019. The recent graduation is among the first since Hurricane Michael disrupted normal training operations. The 337th Air Control Squadron trains all of America’s Air Battle Managers and is a tenant unit assigned to the 33rd Operations Group, 33rd Fighter Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The squadron's primary responsibility includes training all U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve officers in command and control mission execution as Air Battle Managers in a variety of weapons systems in support of air expeditionary forces worldwide.
