With the Tyndall Gulf Coast Salute air show and open house preparing to kick off April 22 and 23, the 325th Logistics Readiness Squadron and 325th Security Forces Squadron have several transportation plans in place to ease traffic congestion during the event.

Handicap and Distinguished vehicle parking

  • Handicap parking is on the north (ramp) side of the installation. Vehicles must have a handicap placard or license plate to enter the north side (left lane access only).

  • Security Forces will direct vehicles to the handicap or DV vehicle parking lot. DVs will obtain specialty passes.

All other parking

  • All general parking will be on the south (support) side of the installation.

  • All traffic will enter through the main Airey gate as well as the Sabre Gate, and visitors will be directed to parking zones by security forces personnel.

  • Free Buses will run all day for the entire event weekend.

  • Base residents will be able to use Beacon Beach Road to get to the parking zones.

  • Balfour Beatty will provide two buses on Saturday only, beginning at 8:30 a.m., departing from the Balfour Beatty community center. The buses will run every 30 minutes until 6 p.m., residents will need a form of identification.

  • Security forces personnel will search attendees at the parking lot prior to boarding the buses.

“Attendees have the option to ride the buses or walk from designated parking areas to the flight line,” said Tech. Sgt. Caitlin Jason, 325th LRS vehicle operations control center NCO in charge. “The plan is to move as many individuals as possible, as efficiently as possible, and to provide world class support.”

“Also, adults are required to have their driver's licenses readily available and all children on the bus require a parent or guardian with them,” Jason added.
