School's out for summer!

Well, it may not be yet, but it will be very soon - and the Tyndall Youth Center has the solution to vacation boredom: Summer Camp.

Starting the day after school officially ends, Summer Camp will bring on the activities, field trips and a fun and safe environment for kids to hang out.

"The most exciting part about our yearly summer camp is the field trips," said Patricia Johnson, Program Technician. "In the works for the field trips this year is a trip to Frank Brown Water Park, the History Museum in Tallahassee, Skating and Bowling at a local hot-spot, and a trip on the Sea Screamer."

The 13-week camp is open to ages 5-12, and costs $50 to register.

"The $50 registration fee goes towards the first payment for the program, which is based on income," she said.

The Youth Center opens for Camp each day from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the kids may spend no more than 10 hours in the center.

Those who would like more information, or would like to join, can pick up an information and registration package at the Youth Center. Patrons are encouraged to act fast because the Youth Camp is only open to 108 students.
