Cable Dawgs are wired for challenges
U.S. Air Force Airman Rachel Perales, 325th Communications Squadron cable and antenna systems technician, extracts excess wiring from a trench at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, Aug. 5, 2024. When a cable cut occurs, cable and antenna systems Airmen, or “Cable Dawgs,” must locate the damaged wiring underground, expose it, then splice microfiber cables in a controlled environment and replace it.
