Mission
The Vehicle Management Flight provides cradle to grave management of assigned vehicle fleet for the entire 325th Fighter Wing, including inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and applicable equipment. They also provide vehicle maintenance, fleet management analysis, and ensure units have working vehicles to meet the mission demands.
The Fuels Management Flight powers Team Tyndall with on-spec mission ready supply of Jet-A, Diesel, and Mogas fuel grades. Whether it’s igniting after burners, emergency responder engines or key facility back-up generators, a Fuels Technician was there to FUEL THE FIGHT! Tyndall POL operates 5 aviation fuel tanks with 8 fill stand and over 2.5 million gallons in storage capacity. Additionally, they operate the base service station providing Tyndall’s mobile fleet with 24/7 refuel capabilities. Every drop of fuel received at Tyndall meets American Petroleum Institute standards that is validated by certified active-duty Fuels Laboratory Technician ensuring POL delivers the highest quality and performance to the Warfighter. POL’s primary weapon is the R-11 refueler truck, feeding the flightline’s demand as Tyndall grows into the “Base of the Future”.
The Materiel Management Flight manages the wing's $126 million primary operating stock warehouse. The flight stocks, stores, issues, and receives over 27-thousand-line items of supplies and equipment. The flight consists of three sections: Customer Support, Maintenance Support and Asset Management.
The Deployment and Distribution Flight (D) is comprised of four different sections that support the 325th Fighter Wing.
The Vehicle Operations section performs the Air Force ground transportation capability for passengers and cargo using a multitude of vehicles in direct support of mission requirements. This includes operating light and heavy-duty vehicles such as buses, semi-trailers, forklifts and recovery vehicles. They perform preventative maintenance checks/services and plan, organize and direct vehicle transportation to support operational missions.
The Logistics Plans section performs and monitors logistics planning activities to include adaptive planning, base support and expeditionary site planning, War Reserve materiel, deployment/redeployment, reception processes, support agreements and Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreements, and LOG C2 functions.
The Air Transportation section performs and manages air transportation activities. Plans, schedules and processes eligible passengers and cargo for air movement. Loads and unloads passengers, cargo, and baggage moved on military and commercial-contract aircraft. Performs aircraft cleaning services and delivers meals and comfort item supplies to aircraft. Provides in-transit visibility over passenger and cargo movement operations.
The Traffic Management section performs and manages traffic management activities. Uses military and commercial transportation to move personnel, eligible dependents, materiel, and property. Packages, classifies, and arranges personal property and cargo for shipment or storage. They oversee Household Goods as well.
